Fewer Breakouts and Less Redness: A Client Case Before the Treatment Course Was Complete
A practitioner case study combining skin assessment with VeraFace Analysis Pro, IPL on Zemits QuantumPeak and cooling skincare treatments on DermeLuxx Pro.
A 36-year-old client presented with visible breakouts, redness, sensitivity and uneven skin tone. Her goals were to reduce the appearance of blemishes and redness while supporting hydration and skin comfort.

Initial concerns included inflammatory-looking blemishes on the cheeks and lower face, areas of redness, sensitivity and an uneven-looking complexion. The planned course comprised five to six treatments; at the documented review point, one IPL session and three cooling treatments had been completed.
The practitioner’s objective was to address the visible appearance of blemishes and associated redness while taking the client’s sensitivity into account.

The treatment approach: Three complementary elements

VeraFace Analysis Pro — skin assessment
Skin analysis supported the initial assessment of visible skin characteristics and helped inform a tailored approach. It was used as an assessment tool, not as a medical diagnosis.

QuantumPeak — IPL
One IPL session was included within the practitioner’s combined programme. The practitioner evaluated changes across the full course to date, rather than attributing the observed improvement to IPL alone.

DermeLuxx Pro — cooling skincare
Three cooling treatments complemented the programme, providing an additional skincare-focused element for a client who reported sensitivity.
Visible changes throughout the course
Before treatment
Initial photographs showed visible blemishes on the cheeks and lower face, alongside broader areas of redness and uneven-looking tone.
Before
BeforeInterim progress
In the interim photographs, cheek redness appeared less pronounced. Some blemishes remained visible, but the overall complexion appeared more even.
Interim progress
Interim progress Most recent photographs
The practitioner reported that blemishes and redness appeared less prominent than at baseline, with smoother-looking skin and a more even complexion. Natural texture and some irregularities remained; this was not complete clearance of acne.
After
AfterWhat changed?
The case documents less conspicuous blemishes, reduced visible redness and a more even-looking skin tone before the planned course had been completed. These observations concern one client and do not establish the efficacy of any individual treatment component.
What practitioners can take from this case
The case illustrates the value of assessment-led, individualised care when cosmetic concerns coexist with sensitivity. Acne is a medical condition: practitioners should work within their professional scope, assess suitability and refer for dermatological evaluation where appropriate. IPL and cosmetic cooling treatments are not substitutes for prescribed acne care.
